Volunteer pianists are needed at three Osler hospitals (Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital, and Peel Memorial Centre) to provide musical entertainment for patients, visitors, and staff. Volunteers will play background music on a grand piano in the main lobby or in the Acute Care for the Elderly unit, creating a comforting and enjoyable environment.
This volunteer opportunity allows you to share your musical talents and contribute to patient-inspired healthcare. You can request a certificate after completing 60 hours of service and a reference after 100 hours.
Minimum age of 15, fluency in English (additional languages may be beneficial), discretion, empathy, the ability to perform an audition, commitment to scheduled shifts, a minimum commitment of one shift per week for six to eight months or 60 hours, adherence to all Osler policies, minimum Grade six piano level or equivalent experience, and confidence in playing in public.
